Bord Gais Energy Theatre
Built as a centrepiece to Dublin’s landmark Grand Canal Dock regeneration programme, The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is symbolic of Dublin’s recent transformation into a 21st century capital.
Designed by globally recognised architect Daniel Libeskind, in conjunction with RHWL of London, it makes a very striking visual statement, whether you are standing directly outside it or viewing it across the ample concourse that stretches toward the waterfront. Inside, the auditorium has been designed to the highest possible acoustic standards.
The theatre opened in 2010 and since then it has played host to opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, dramatic theatre and every imaginable genre of music.
The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is linked directly to Citywest Hotel by Dublin’s LUAS light rail system. Whatever you’re going to see, whoever you’re going to hear, make Citywest Hotel your base.
