The eyes of the worlds golfers were on Ireland in September 2006. The Citywest Group and particularly the Citywest Hotel, PGA National Ireland, Palmerstown House and Weston Airport played a key role in delivering a successful Ryder Cup in September 2006.

Ryder Cup Gala Dinner

The Ryder Cup “A year to go” Gala Dinner took place in Citywest in September 2005. Ian Woosnam (pictured above with Citywest owner Mr Jim Mansfield) and his management team discussed their preparation and plans in front of a 1,500 audience during the Gala Banquet.

Citywest Hotel were delighted to host the prestigious Ryder Cup Gala Dinner 2006, which took place in our spectacular 4,000 capacity conference centre. The experienced Citywest team delivered a top quality memorable event for the invited guests and dignitaries and of course the world’s top golfers including Tiger Woods.



PGA National Ireland & Weston Airport

Mr Mansfield’s exceptional PGA National Ireland golf course at Palmerstown House in Johnstown provided superb golfing facilities for local and overseas golfers alike with a number of key corporate events. While Weston Airport assisted the organisers and spectators by providing airport facilities for private and executive jets as well as extensive car parking facilities.
