18th Hole "The O'Connor Pass"
The 18th Hole is one of the great finishing holes in Ireland. As the golfer stands
on the tee-box they are faced with an inspirational par four that demands an acute
level of accuracy.
To successfully hit the fairway from the tee the golfer must manoeuvre their ball
through a narrow gap that is protected by mature trees on both sides while at the
same time avoiding the first of two lakes that runs down the left hand side of the
fairway.
Having successfully hit the fairway the golfer is then faced with a daunting second
shot to the green with the main obstacle being a lake that runs right up to the
front edge of the green. A good score at this hole will certainly make the 19th
hole even more enjoyable.
