ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music--dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

Now that Zumba has arrived at Citywest Health & Leisure Club, come and join Lorna/Adele club every Monday at 7:15 p.m. if you want to improve your fitness level, tone up or even lose weight in a fun way. FACT: In the 1990s, Alberto “Beto” Perez (Creator of Zumba) forgot his tape of aerobics music for a class he was teaching. He took the tapes available in his car—consisting of traditional Latin salsa and merengue music—and improvised a class using this non-traditional aerobics music. After the initial success in Colombia, he took the class to the United States in 1999. Zumba is considered exercise in disguise, with a typical class burning between 500 and 1000 calories.
