Keeping Kids Safe

Citywest Hotel offer an especially warm welcome to families and we’re delighted when children of all ages come here.

Naturally, their safety is of the utmost importance to us. So with that priority in mind, here are a few guidelines you should note on keeping your kids stay safe and happy at Citywest Hotel:

What’s supervised:
Harriett’s Kids Club on the 3rd Floor and is fully supervised and open to children over 4 years. Unfortunately, anyone under 4 is a bit too small.

What’s not supervised:
The Movie Club on the 3rd Floor isn’t supervised. So if your child is coming along, we’d ask a responsible adult to keep them company and enjoy the movie too.

Dressing to impress!
Sometimes we provide evening entertainment for families in our function room. So to ensure everyone’s comfortable, children can’t wear swimwear or pyjamas in the hotel’s public areas.

Keep an eye out
The hotel’s public areas such as corridors, bars, restaurant and lobby can be crowded and busy. So to avoid bumps, scrapes or little ones getting lost, an adult should be with kids at all times.

In the bar
It’s no surprise that we obey all the relevant laws – here are the rules about children in bars according to Ireland’s Liquor Licencing Law:

  • Children under 15 are allowed in bar areas between 11.00am and 9.00pm only if they are with a parent or guardian. After this time children aren’t permitted in the bar or public areas.
  • Children aged between 15 and 18, are allowed in the bar unaccompanied between the hours of 11.00am and 9.00pm. After this time they have to leave.

A family break is a time for fun and relaxation. Above all, everyone should always be safe - so our gentle request is that the guidelines listed above are followed and your family has a wonderful time at Citywest Hotel.
